Timmins to suspend overnight snow-removal shift ahead of forecasted storm; weekly routes posted for March 15–21
Timmins Public Works plans to suspend overnight snow-removal operations ahead of a “forecasted large-scale snowstorm,” while also publishing a list of streets scheduled for snow removal between March 15 and March 21.
The city’s weekly notice is meant to let residents know when snow-removal equipment may be working in their area, and it outlines separate daytime and overnight windows for crews.
The City of Timmins said night-shift snow removal will be suspended “due to the forecasted large-scale snowstorm.” The city said the change is to reposition crews and equipment before snowfall begins. The notice does not say when the storm is expected to start.
In the same notice, the city listed snow-removal start-and-finish windows of 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. for overnight work, and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for daytime work.
