Timmins Victor M. Power Airport Plans for Expansion Through 2042

The Timmins Victor M. Power Airport has released a 20-year master plan aimed at guiding its future development from 2022 to 2042. The plan forecasts an annual growth of 1.1% in passenger traffic, potentially reaching 277,000 travelers by the year 2041.

The comprehensive proposal outlines a capital investment requirement of $120 million over the next two decades. It details improvements to airside, groundside, and other infrastructure, categorized into short, medium, and long-term priorities.

According to Airport Manager Dave Dayment, the airport contributes significantly to the local economy. Future developments as proposed depend on reaching specific milestones in passenger and air travel volume. This includes facility expansions and technology upgrades as laid out in the plan.
