Watermain Repairs to Restrict Lane on Bloor Street West in Bowmanville May 7

A contractor working for the Region will conduct emergency watermain repairs on Bloor Street West (Regional Road 22) in Bowmanville on Tuesday, May 7. According to an official notice from the Region, the work will take place between Martin Road and Simpson Avenue, starting at approximately 7 a.m. and continuing until about 7 p.m.

During the repair, Bloor Street West will remain open to traffic but will be reduced to a single lane in the affected area. Flag persons will manage vehicle flow while the work is underway.

The Region has stated that residents in the vicinity may encounter temporary interruptions to their water service during the repair period. An advisory from the Region asks motorists and residents near the work zone to exercise caution.
