Weather report for Jul 06, 2025

Expect a comfortable Sunday across the Northeast, with patchy clouds early in Timmins and Kapuskasing but plenty of sun through the afternoon. Highs will rise to about 23°C in Timmins, and into the mid-20s farther north in Hearst and around Moosonee. Winds will stay on the lighter side, so it’s a good day for any outdoor plans. Tonight, temperatures dip to a mild 12–14°C under clearing skies.

As we begin the week, Monday brings similar conditions: mainly sunny and warm, with highs reaching 25–27°C in Timmins, Kapuskasing, and Iroquois Falls. A stray late-day shower is possible closer to the James Bay coast, but most places remain dry. Humidity starts to edge up Monday, so it may feel a touch warmer by the evening.

Looking ahead to the week, we can expect:

  • Tuesday and Wednesday staying mostly sunny and warm, with afternoon highs in the upper 20s across the region.
  • The risk of passing late-day showers or thunderstorms increases a bit by midweek, especially north and west of Timmins.
  • Nights remain comfortable, staying above 12°C most places.

If you're planning for next weekend, the early outlook suggests continued summer warmth, with most of Northeast Ontario enjoying temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. Scattered showers may return by Saturday afternoon, so it’s good to keep a backup plan if you have outdoor activities in mind.

Enjoy the sunshine today and have a great start to your week!
