Weather report for Jul 09, 2025

A mild and cloudy morning across the Northeast today. Expect temperatures near 15°C in Timmins early, warming to about 21°C this afternoon with a mix of sun and cloud. Kapuskasing and Hearst will see similar numbers, with a chance of an isolated shower through midday—keep an umbrella handy if you're heading out.

Winds will stay light from the southwest at 10–20 km/h. Humidity is moderate, so it should feel comfortable, but with UV levels edging higher, a bit of sunscreen won’t go astray for those outdoors midday.

Thundershower risk increases this evening, especially toward Iroquois Falls and Smooth Rock Falls, as a band of scattered storms cuts across the north—these will clear overnight.

Looking ahead: Expect a return of sun and warm temperatures through Thursday and Friday with highs in the 22–25°C range. Watch for a few pop-up showers Thursday afternoon, otherwise it should be dry.

Weekend preview: Saturday looks promising with plenty of sun and highs near 27°C, great for outdoor plans or backyard barbecues. Some clouds may drift in by Sunday with a risk of showers late, but no significant storms on the horizon.

Have a good Wednesday, North!
