Weather report for Jun 05, 2025

Good morning, Northeast Ontario! It’s a cool, mostly cloudy start today across Timmins, Kapuskasing, Hearst, and communities up through Moosonee. Temperatures this morning are hovering near 8°C, rising to 18°C by afternoon under mainly cloudy skies. Rain showers are expected to develop west of Kap and Hearst by late afternoon and spread eastward into the night, so if you’re out after work, grab an umbrella or raincoat.

Winds will stay light for most of the day, but may pick up with gusts near showers tonight. The low overnight will be around 9°C, with lingering showers likely.

Looking ahead to Friday, you can expect patchy showers in the morning, but skies will gradually clear and things should dry out by the afternoon. A high of 19°C in most centres, with just a touch of humidity. The weekend is shaping up nicely, with both Saturday and Sunday mostly sunny and temperatures warming to the low 20s. A great chance to plan those outdoor projects or a family outing.

Enjoy your Thursday and keep an eye to the sky later in the day if you’ll be on the roads—showers may reduce visibility at times.
