Weather report for May 23, 2025

Cloudy and cool conditions will start your Friday across the Northeast, with light rain developing around midday and persisting into the evening for most communities, including Timmins, Kapuskasing, Hearst, and along Highway 11. Highs today will remain brisk, reaching about 8°C to 10°C. Winds from the north will keep it feeling chillier—grab a sweater or light jacket if you’re heading out. Showers may be locally heavier, so an umbrella could come in handy, especially for late-day errands and after-school pickup.

Tonight, expect showers to taper off, but low clouds and damp conditions will remain, dropping temperatures to the 2°C–4°C range.

Looking ahead to the weekend:

  • Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a few breaks of sun, and lingering spotty showers, especially in the morning. It’ll be a little milder, with highs around 13°C.
  • Sunday brings a better chance of sunshine but temperatures stay subdued for late May, topping out near 14°C. The risk of a stray shower remains, but outdoor plans are looking promising.

No weather extremes expected, just typical northern springtime—layers and a rain jacket are your best bet to stay comfortable. Safe travels especially on wet roads, and enjoy the slow march toward summer.
