Weather report for May 26, 2025

Good morning, Northeast Ontario!

Expect a cool and partly cloudy start to the week across Timmins, Kapuskasing, Hearst, Iroquois Falls, and the rest of NEOn today. Temperatures will range from 3°C this morning, climbing to a high near 15°C by mid-afternoon. Winds will be breezy from the northwest at 15–25 km/h, making it feel a bit brisk, especially early on.

Cloud cover will be variable throughout the day, with more sun peeking through by mid to late afternoon. There’s only a slight chance of a stray shower, so outdoor plans should generally be in good shape. By evening, temperatures will dip back down to around 5°C under partly clearing skies.

For the rest of the workweek:

  • Tuesday and Wednesday: Temperatures remain steady, with daytime highs between 14°C and 17°C, and nighttime lows between 4°C and 7°C. Expect a mix of sun and cloud, with a chance of brief afternoon showers either day—keep an umbrella handy, just in case.
  • Thursday: Looks similar, but with a bit more sunshine anticipated and highs reaching 18°C.
  • No severe weather is expected, but UV levels are on the rise, especially when the sun is out—consider sunscreen if you’re outside for long stretches.

Weekend preview:

Early indications show a milder and brighter weekend shaping up for NEOn. Highs could reach 20°C with longer sunny periods Saturday and Sunday. Nights remain cool, dipping near 6°C. Locals can look forward to excellent weather for gardening, getting out on the lake, or hitting the trails.

Drive safe, dress in layers for those cooler mornings, and enjoy the steady spring weather!
