Weather report for May 27, 2025
Folks in Northeast Ontario can expect a quiet Tuesday. Patchy fog in spots this morning will give way to mainly sunny skies across Timmins, Kapuskasing, Hearst, and the broader NE. Afternoon highs will be around 19°C, with some areas a degree or two either side. Winds are light—so it’ll be a good day to be outdoors.
Tonight will be clear and chilly, with overnight lows dipping to near 4°C outside the city centres. If you’re gardening, you may want to check for frost risk, especially in low-lying areas.
Looking ahead, Wednesday and Thursday are much of the same: partly to mostly sunny and mild, with daytime highs between 18°C and 21°C. Lows at night will be in the 5°C to 7°C range, so keep a sweater handy for evenings.
Weekend Preview: Early signs point to a shift in the weather for NEON. Clouds begin to move in Friday and there’s a good chance of showers for Saturday across the North, lasting into Sunday in spots. Temperatures will remain seasonal, with highs in the upper teens. If you’re planning time outside this weekend, keep an umbrella close and check for updates later this week.
UV index is moderate to high through the week—don’t forget your sunscreen if you’re outside for long stretches.
