Aunor Beach in Timmins to close Aug. 12 during police evidence search

Aunor Beach in Timmins will be closed to the public on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, while Timmins Police Service officers conduct an evidence search in the area.

The closure will restrict public access to the beach during the investigation, affecting anyone planning to visit the waterfront that day.

Timmins police asked residents to avoid the area and respect the closure while the investigation is underway.

Police did not say what the search relates to and did not give hours for the closure or a reopening time.

Timmins Police Service said further information will be provided when appropriate.
