Canadian Technologies to be Demonstrated in Lunar Mission
On March 2, 2025, Firefly's Blue Ghost Mission 1 is expected to touch down on the lunar surface, slated no earlier than 3:34 a.m. ET. Three Canadian companies are set to demonstrate their technological innovations during this mission. These companies received support from the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) through the Lunar Exploration Accelerator Program (LEAP).
The mission will involve testing and showcasing technologies developed by these Canadian firms, highlighting their potential applications on the Moon's surface and in lunar orbit. The participation in this mission is part of Canada's ongoing efforts to contribute to lunar exploration initiatives.
This mission provides an opportunity for these companies to validate their technologies in the conditions of space, with the backing of CSA’s LEAP funding for innovation and exploration.
