CFIA Issues Recall for Thalassa Basa Fillets IQF Due to Chemical Presence

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled Thalassa brand Basa Fillets IQF due to the presence of 3-amino-2-oxazolidinone, a chemical of concern. This recall pertains to products sold in Quebec, identified by the UPC code 8 36990 00455 7 and lot number VN/033/VI/180CAN.

The CFIA reports that no illnesses linked to the consumption of this product have been reported. Consumers who have purchased the Basa Fillets IQF are urged to check for these identification numbers and to avoid consuming the affected products.
