Ontario Allocates $7 Million for Critical Minerals Projects

The Ontario government has announced an investment of over $7 million in 17 projects aimed at enhancing research and development in the critical minerals sector. This announcement was made in Timmins, with the funding intended to support technologies related to minerals essential for batteries and electric vehicles.

The funding is part of the Critical Minerals Innovation Fund, which seeks to bolster Ontario's supply chain for critical minerals. Among the recipients, NetZero Metals in Timmins will receive $495,740 for nickel processing, and EV Nickel Inc. will receive $223,552 for advancing its bioleaching process.
