Police Seek Help Identifying Suspects in Timmins Robbery Attempt
On the evening of August 15, 2024, between 10:30 PM and 11:30 PM, an incident occurred in the downtown area of Timmins. Two unidentified males approached several individuals, demanding their money and cell phones. One of the suspects brandished a large knife, but the victims were able to escape unharmed.
The two suspects fled the scene, heading north toward the area of 6th Avenue. They are described as follows:
- Suspect 1: Appears to be 16 to 17 years old, approximately 6 feet tall, with black curly hair. He was dressed entirely in black and wearing sandals with socks.
- Suspect 2: Also appears to be 16 to 17 years old, slightly shorter than 6 feet, with black curly hair and light facial hair. He was wearing a white top, black pants, and white shoes.
Although the surveillance footage is grainy, the attached photos represent the best images available at this time. Police are urging anyone who recognizes these individuals or who may have additional surveillance video of the suspects to come forward.
