Smooth Rock Falls approves setback variance for attached garage at 66 Breton Crescent

Smooth Rock Falls’ Committee of Adjustment approved a minor variance on Oct. 19, 2026, allowing an attached garage at 66 Breton Crescent to be built with a 0.4-metre interior side-yard setback from the east lot line, instead of the 0.9 metres required under the town’s Zoning By-law No. 2016-04.

The variance applies to 66 Breton Crescent. The appeal deadline is Nov. 9, 2026, at 4 p.m.

The application is Minor Variance MV2026-01 for a garage attached to the existing single-detached home.

The town’s decision requires the project to be built largely in accordance with the site plan submitted by the owner.

Appeals of the decision are made to the Ontario Land Tribunal. Only certain parties can appeal, according to the town’s notice.
