Timmins plans Feldman Road water shutoff on Oct. 6, 2026
Water service on Feldman Road in Timmins is scheduled to be temporarily shut off Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for planned maintenance, the City of Timmins Environmental Services Department says.
The city says residents and businesses on Feldman Road could see changes after the water is turned back on, including low pressure and brown or rust-coloured water.
According to the notice, water service “will be turned on as soon as the work is complete.”
The Environmental Services Department said properties in the area may experience discoloured water when flow returns. The city said residents and businesses should not drink discoloured water or use it to wash laundry.
The city said the discolouration is not harmful to health, but it can stain laundry.
If discoloured water appears, the city advises running only cold water from the tap closest to the water source—usually a laundry-tub tap. The city says to let it run for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the water returns to its normal colour.
