Timmins Police Arrest Three in Connection with Weapons Incident
On March 20, 2024, Timmins Police responded to a report of shots fired near Sixth Avenue and Cedar Street North in Timmins. Patrol officers quickly arrived and detained two individuals. The Timmins Police Criminal Investigations Section took over the investigation.
On the same day, police executed two search warrants related to the incident. As a result, three individuals were arrested and charged with various firearms and drug-related offences. Seized items included cocaine, fentanyl, and two handguns.
A young person, whose identity is protected, faces 11 charges related to firearms possession and drug offences. Jerome Campbell, 31, of no fixed address, also faces 11 similar charges and is held in custody pending a bail hearing. Additionally, Dwayne Carter, 20, of Etobicoke, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for charges including aggravated assault and weapons offences from November 2023. Carter is also held pending a bail hearing.
