Timmins Police Execute Search Warrant, Recover Stolen Goods and Drugs
On September 10, 2024, the Timmins Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Unit, with the assistance of patrol officers, executed a search warrant at a residence located on Fifth Avenue. The execution of the warrant led to the recovery of approximately $6,000 worth of stolen property. In addition, a quantity of drugs with an estimated street value of $4,000 and a firearm were seized during the search.
As a result of the investigation, Justin Marenger, a 32-year-old man from Timmins, has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
- Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
In connection with the operation, three other individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants for unrelated incidents.
On September 13, 2024, Marenger was arrested and subsequently released on an undertaking. His first court appearance is scheduled for October 22, 2024.
