Timmins Schedules Public Meeting on Zoning Amendment

The City of Timmins is set to hold a public meeting to discuss a zoning by-law amendment on February 26, 2025, starting at 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 220 Algonquin Boulevard East, Timmins.

This proposed amendment seeks to eliminate the requirement for off-street parking for residential units on upper floors located above main floor commercial spaces within the General Commercial (EA-CG) Zone.

Community members are welcomed to attend the meeting and provide their feedback on the proposed changes. Their participation is considered crucial to the decision-making process.

Those interested in receiving updates about the adoption or approval of the by-law should submit a written request to the City Clerk. Residents are also informed of their right to appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal, provided they either orally contribute or submit written statements during the meeting.

Further information and details regarding the amendment can be accessed through the City of Timmins’ official channels ahead of the meeting.
