Timmins voters have until Sept. 2 to update details for voter information letter
Timmins voters have until Sept. 2, 2026, to update their information on the municipal voters’ list so changes appear on their voter information letter, the City of Timmins says.
Updates made by Sept. 2 will be reflected on the voter information letter, which includes an online voting PIN and polling location. The 2026 municipal election is scheduled for Oct. 26.
Voters can still add, remove or correct information after Sept. 2 and up to and including election day, but changes made after Sept. 2 will not appear on the voter information letter, according to the city’s notice.
To be eligible to vote, a person must be a Canadian citizen, at least 18 on election day, and either a Timmins resident or a non-resident who (or whose spouse) owns or rents property in the city, the city says.
An update may be needed for people who have moved, changed their name, recently become eligible to vote or need to correct information on the voters’ list.
Changes to voter information must be made in person with acceptable identification, the city says.
The city says a temporary service booth for voters’ list updates will be set up at Timmins Square Shopping Centre, 1500 Riverside Dr., on Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will also be open Thursday, Aug. 27, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
