CFIA recalls Kim Phat Seafood Medley sold in Quebec over undeclared egg, fish, soy and wheat

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a food recall warning on Aug. 21, 2026, for Kim Phat brand Seafood Medley sold in Quebec after the agency found undeclared egg, fish, soy and wheat.

The CFIA warned that people who are allergic or sensitive to egg, fish, soy or wheat could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat the recalled product. The agency also advised people with celiac disease or other gluten-related disorders not to consume it because it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.

The recall applies to Kim Phat Seafood Medley sold in a 500-gram package with UPC 6 28790 00196 2. Affected packages are marked, as printed on the package, “Production Date: 25/08/16” and “Best Before Date: 27/08/15.”

Ocean Packers Inc. is listed as the recalling firm.

The recall is classified as Class 1 and is identified as RA-82523.

According to the CFIA, the recall was triggered by a complaint and no reactions have been reported.

The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. The agency said it is also verifying that the product is being removed from the marketplace.
