Timmins Ends Significant Weather Event

The City of Timmins Public Works department has announced the conclusion of a Significant Weather Event as of Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The declaration was originally issued under the Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways (O.Reg 239), which guides the city's response to weather-related impacts on road safety.

With the official declaration ending, standard road maintenance operations will resume across the affected areas. The initial declaration addressed the necessity for increased vigilance and resource allocation to ensure roads were safe for public use during the adverse weather conditions experienced.
