Wastewater Bypass Reported at Mattagami Plant in Timmins on April 29

A bypass involving partially treated wastewater occurred at the Mattagami Water Pollution Control Plant in Timmins on April 29, 2025. According to a report issued by the City of Timmins, the bypass started at 12:19 p.m. and ended at 3:31 p.m. The total volume of water discharged during this period was about 7,494 cubic metres. The release went into the Mattagami River.
