Watermain Flushing to Affect Timmins South on April 1

The City of Timmins Environmental Services Department has announced that watermain flushing will be conducted in the Timmins South Area on April 1, 2025. The scheduled maintenance will take place from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, affecting local residents and businesses who might experience changes such as coloured water or lower water pressure.

Official guidance from the Environmental Services Department advises against using discoloured water for drinking or washing laundry. If residents encounter discoloured water, they are encouraged to run the cold water tap closest to the source for 15-20 minutes until the water clears.

These activities form part of routine maintenance to ensure the infrastructure's efficiency and reliability within the city's water distribution system.
