Weather report for May 02, 2025

Expect mostly cloudy skies across Northeast Ontario today, with some showers moving through the region during the afternoon and into the evening. Temperatures around Timmins, Kapuskasing, and Hearst will hover between 8°C and 13°C, with brisk winds from the northwest adding to the chill. Rainfall amounts should remain light, but a rain jacket or umbrella won’t go amiss if you’re out and about late in the day.

Winds may gust up to 30 km/h, especially closer to James Bay, keeping things feeling cooler. Tonight will see lingering clouds and occasional light rain, with lows dipping to between 2°C and 4°C. Roads could become slick after sunset, so take care if driving.

For most in the North, the weekend is shaping up to be a mix of sun and clouds, with Saturday slightly warmer (highs near 14°C) and a chance for more sunshine, while Sunday may bring another wave of clouds and spotty light rain. If you’re planning outdoor activities, Saturday looks like your best bet.
