CFIA recalls DAVIDsTEA Organic Sneeze Ease Herbal Infusion over undeclared almond
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a food recall warning on May 12, 2026, for DAVIDsTEA brand Organic Sneeze Ease Herbal Infusion, saying the product may contain almond that is not declared on the label. The recall applies to 50 g packages sold online with UPC 101202100502 and code 000CHA831216.
CFIA said the undeclared almond is a concern for people who are allergic or sensitive to almond, because consuming the product could cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.
In its notice, CFIA advised consumers to check whether they have the recalled product. The agency also advised people not to consume recalled products to which they are allergic or sensitive.
CFIA further advised that recalled products should not be served, used, sold, or distributed. The agency said recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.
DAVIDsTEA Inc. is the recalling firm, according to CFIA. The company triggered the recall, CFIA said.
CFIA said there have been no reported reactions associated with consumption of the product.
The agency said it is conducting a food safety investigation that may lead to the recall of other products. CFIA also said it is verifying that industry is removing recalled products from the marketplace.
The recall is classified as Class 1 and has identification number RA-81715, according to the CFIA notice.
