Timmins Announces Hydrant Flushing in Mountjoy Area Starting August 13

The City of Timmins will conduct hydrant flushing and watermain cleaning in the Mountjoy area from August 13, 2024, to September 30, 2024. The affected area extends from Pavillion Drive west to Jaguar Drive.

Residents and businesses in the area may experience temporary water service disruptions, including low water pressure and discolored water. The city advises against drinking or using discolored water for laundry. If discoloration occurs, residents should turn off their taps for 10-20 minutes to allow the crew to complete the test. Once the test is complete, running the cold water tap closest to the source for 15-20 minutes should clear the discoloration.
