Timmins Schedules Water Main Valve Replacement in Schumacher
The City of Timmins has announced a planned water main valve replacement in the Gold Centre Area of Schumacher, scheduled for November 25, 2024. The work will take place from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is expected to cause temporary disruptions in water service.
Affected streets include:
- Croatia Ave. from Ponderossa St. to Delost St.
- Claimpost Trail
- Brundy Ave.
- Ennis St.
- Miners Ave.
- Delost Ave.
- Prospector’s St.
Residents and businesses in the area may experience no water, low pressure, or discoloured water during this time. The City advises against drinking or using discoloured water for laundry, as it may stain fabrics. To clear discoloured water, residents are advised to run the cold water tap closest to the source for 15-20 minutes or until the water clears.
Additionally, road closures in the area may extend beyond the scheduled repair time. The City appreciates the community's patience and cooperation during this maintenance work.
